The little known Huai Nam Dang
National Park is positioned within both the
provinces of Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Song and
within the districts of Mae Taeng and Pai respectively.
It is located at km 66 on Highway 1095 - the
main road that leads to the town of Pai from
Ban Mae Malai via Chiang Mai city 103 km away.
The park commands some
breathtaking views - especially the wave upon
wave of shimmering wild flowerbeds and the misty
mountain peaks of Doi Chang and Doi Kiu Lom.
In fact, at times the whole park area is covered
in a 'sea of mist' that makes for some spectacular
photographic moments.
